United Way of the Coastal Bend, in collaboration with KRIS Communications, HEB and Goodwill Industries of South Texas held the 16th Annual Operation Supply Our Students (S.O.S) school supply collection effort. For over a month, businesses and individuals have donated monetary and in-kind donations to supply students in need in our community with the necessary tools to be successful in school.

Thirty-seven school districts in the Coastal Bend were provided supplies, helping over 3000 children who would have otherwise started the school year unprepared.

On behalf of the children who will receive these supplies we would like to thank the following Corporations for their donations and support of this program:

  • The Port of Corpus Christi Authority
  • Dixie Iron Works
  • Best Western
  • Kenedy Memorial Foundation
  • Valero Bill Greehey Refinery
  • Verizon Wireless
  • Grande Communications

Colleciton sites also include:

  • Bay Area Fellowship
  • APAC
  • Hornblower, Manning and Ward
  • First Christian Church
  • NAS CC
  • RSSS
  • MHMR of Nueces County
  • Wolfe Legal Services
  • and local HEB & Goodwill Stores
