VITA SITES A SUCCESS!

At an event held at Del Mar College on April 15, 2008 nearly 40 VITA volunteers were thanked for their efforts on behalf of our community. VITA volunteers prepared tax returns for low-income tax payers with a record 853 returns filed this year and over $800,000 in total refunds.

The VITA program was sponsored  by The Asset Building Coalition in partnership with United Way of the Coastal Bend, Del Mar College, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, the IRS, Weed & Seed, Miller High School and community volunteers.
