12-COUNTY COASTAL BEND NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The Coastal Bend 12 County Needs Assessment conducted by University Associates focuses on eight target need areas and provides results and recommendations for the 12 county region:
 
  • children & youth
  •  
  • self-sufficiency/basic needs
  • families
  • neighborhoods & communities
  • seniors
  • health & wellbeing
  • education & job skill preparation
  • disabilities
  • The region studied includes the counties of Aransas, Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Kenedy, Kleberg, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio in South Texas. In addition to looking at the target need areas for the region as a whole, the assessment also contains county specific information.

    Please read How to Use This Report before beginning your review of the needs assessment. This brief user's guide gives a quick overview of where to find specific information and observations on the report's contents. By releasing the results and recommendations of this needs assessment, the United Way of the Coastal Bend and the other project sponsors are hoping that this information will act as a guide to future improvement efforts for the region.
