Investing in the Community

United Way of the Coastal Bend is working to advance the common good in our community. As a United Way donor, you can rest assured that the nonprofit organizations receiving your investment are being carefully monitored in the areas of quality programming, governance, finance and administration.

To create lasting change, community investments are strategically made. We invest in programs that align with our strategic goals in EDUCATION, HEALTH and FINANCIAL STABILITY. To ensure fairness and transparency, grants given to funded partners are decided by a group of community volunteers, then are voted on by the board of directors.

Thanks to the generosity of thousands of donors throughout the Coastal Bend, we are able amplify your investment to strengthen and sustain numerous community programs. The community investments made for fiscal year 2016-2017 are listed below by agency name under the United Way Community Impact Area in which they operate.
