Volunteer With VITA


Information for VITA Volunteers

VITA volunteers provide FREE income tax filing services for low- to moderate-income households. All volunteers must attend training sessions conducted by IRS-certified instructors and pass an exam before assisting taxpayers. 

Want to serve as a VITA volunteer?

Those interested in serving as a VITA volunteer can attend our free training series happening at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi on

  • Saturday, Feb. 1, and Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The trainings will take place at the O'Connor Business Building, 2nd floor. All materials and training will be supplied by the IRS to certify volunteers as VITA tax preparers.
