Information for VITA Volunteers
VITA volunteers provide FREE income tax filing services for low- to moderate-income households. All volunteers must attend training sessions conducted by IRS-certified instructors and pass an exam before assisting taxpayers.
Want to serve as a VITA volunteer?
Those interested in serving as a VITA volunteer can attend our free two-day training happening at Del Mar College - East Campus on
- Saturday, November 9, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., AND
- Saturday, November 23, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The two-day training will take place on the DMC campus in the Venters Business Building, 2nd floor computer lab. All materials and training will be supplied by the IRS to certify volunteers as VITA tax preparers.
Prospective volunteers wishing to attend our two-day training are asked to RSVP to Jamey Byrne at firstname.lastname@example.org.
