"We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we established our COVID-19 Fund," said Libby Averyt, President & CEO of United Way of the Coastal Bend. "However, we’ve been so gratified by the level of support we’ve received from the community, and it’s through their generosity we’ve been able to help so many residents who’ve been affected."

United Way of the Coastal Bend's COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund was established to support local non-profit agencies providing food assistance, rent and utility assistance, medical and mental health services, and more to those impacted by COVID-19. With 100 percent of donations going toward local response efforts, $363,377 has already been distributed to nearly 30 organizations in the Coastal Bend.
